So a couple of weeks back I visited Amsterdam with some friends and even though I had been before I had never discovered the amazing vintage shopping culture there! Dotted about the city were loads of gorgeous little vintage shops, the rails colourful and rich with fashions of the past.
Surprisingly everything was reasonably priced as well. I always feel like the UK takes advantage of the 'vintage' label and over-charges for a lot of items that are basically just old rags. But even with the rubbish exchange rate between the Pound and the Euro, these items had fair prices. I could have literally spent all my time and all my money in these shops but with the short amount of time we had in Amsterdam it wasn't possible to spend hours in there!
I'll definitely be going back as soon as I can to try and bag some characteristic, old fashions when I have the time. And I'd definitely recommend a trip to Amsterdam for these shops.
